George Harrison: All Things Pass

I will never forget the time when George Harrison had passed away. I was just moving from my apartment in Frederick, Maryland to the house I rented in Walkersville, for like the next eleven years of my life. (And an old magazine that just happened to be laying there, in the living room, featuring an interview with Harrison, with his picture on the cover, like staring right back at me!) It really saddened me, for more reasons then one. 'Cause now, two Beatles were gone. Both John Lennon, and George Harrison. (You can never really replace people like that). No doubt, the attack on his life mentioned here, several years before his death, may very well have shortened his life in some way...
I can also still remember, when I was a kid, and being blown away by the All Things Must Pass album. I used to play it over and over again. Harrison was not only a brilliant singer-songwriter and musician, but also, a fantastic human being...
Note: It seems the particular video above may not be viewable on this blog using Google Chrome. Something about the browser not supporting HTML 5 video.
That one caught me by surprise. Never seen that message before. It is a pretty good documentary (and tribute) so here is the link, to at least view it on YouTube: https://youtu.be/TZqDr7tKcKY
Does play on this blog using Internet Explorer however. (Seems to be the way the blog is constructed, or something). Fancy that. Rest in peace, George...

For Halloween: Documentary My Amityville horror

O.K. Surprisingly well done documentary man, which I am posting here because of the Halloween season and all. Not quite sure what to make of it at this time, except to say,
that I definitely lived in the area during the time the Amityville Horror events (as they were called) took place, (to include both the Defeo and the Lutz family stories), about 2 towns away, on the South Shore of Long Island, in Lindenhurst, New York. In fact, I will never forget the story about how Ronald Defeo went to a bar on Montauk Hwy in Amityville called: 'The Witches Brew' (believe it or not) and told everyone in the bar that he had just murdered his entire family! As a matter of fact, I actually knew a fairly close high school friend at the time, who used to perform and play guitar at this very bar, and so I can personally attest to the fact that such a bar did actually exist; as I had been there several times myself to see him play. I mean, of all places to go, the kid actually went to a bar called: 'The Witches Brew'! (Which was maybe, just about a few blocks from the Amity house itself). Right after he murdered his entire family no less! So the story goes, anyway...
Kinda' gives you goosebumps. Long Island definitely had its share of bizarre and unusual stories, that also got national attention in the news. The latest, from what I understand, is what is known as the Long Island serial killings, which is still unsolved at the present time...

But I have to say, this has got to be the best take on the Amityville Horror story that I have seen myself, and was really surprised. Especially, regarding the main character, Daniel Lutz, who I also have to say, seems pretty credible man. And even kinda' looks familiar, now that I think about it. But I knew so many people from the area, as I grew up and went to Junior High and High School there, and also played music with allot of people over the years. Who knows. Great documentary though...

The Afterlife Investigations

Absolutely incredible and fascinating documentary, worth watching, for anyone with an open mind.
With that said, I think one still has to be very careful regarding anything dealing with the supernatural.
For instance. I definately would not recommend anyone experimenting with a Ouji board, for example.
Like anything else, one has to use common sense, and good judgement. Because, with most of these documentaries dealing with the afterlife, the supernatural, and the like, is that, they all too often fail to recognize, that there very well may be such a thing as "evil" on the other side, as well. For instance. Hitler himself, was into the paranormal; as well as, the occult. And was extremely evil. And deceitful. (A big part of the very nature of evil, and the demonic realm). And lucky for us, it may have even eventually destroyed him. Ironically. Because, there very well may be certain spiritual laws built-into the very fabric of the universe itself, that he violated. Like mass murder, for example! However, I think God may give a certain discernment, wisdom, guidance, and protection, to those whose heart is in the right place. The Bible itself, (the Christian Old Testament, in particular), gives some good examples of this. Such as, with the stories of Joseph and Daniel for instance. They had some very powerful spiritual gifts. Like, the interpretation of dreams, and being able to see into the future; As well as, a profound psychic insight, which gave them a deep understanding of things, and the like, that they used in a very positive way. And yet, what does it all mean, really? One thing I know for sure though, is that there usually is some kind of price to pay, for those who can see (and understand) things, that most other people cannot. Because, it can often make one a target, by some really deeply disturbed, and criminally-bent individuals. So, it is usually like a mixed blessing. (For instance, criminals who are schizophrenics, for example, often have that side of their brain working, but because they're schizophrenics to begin with, they are usually off in some way, because they are also more often then not, quite delusional. But, never-the less, they can sometimes pick-up on those who are strongly psychic, and when they are extremely evil, they will also quite often target them in some way, because among other things, they are usually afraid that they will be exposed, if they have done something criminal for instance).
Fascinating subject though, whichever way you want to look at it. For sure. And, it could also very well be the reason why so many people down through the ages have used religion as a tool - to manipulate, control, and brainwash people, even into thinking, that what is white is really black, and what is black is really white, and in the same manner, if your a politician with extreme views and beholden to special interest money for instance, they will often try to convince their constituants that what is good (such as social justice and the like), is really bad. Because, it is quite possible that in reality, they are really just schizophrenics! (Without any concern for anyone else except themselves). And, it very well may be one of the reasons why they are so fascinated with religion to begin with, and/or the supernatural, and how (like snake oil salesmen) just see it as a means to an end.
But that is another topic...

WikiRebels - The Documentary (1/4)

Just want to make something clear here. I am not a proponent of hacking into "classified" information, or the like. And certainly believe that anyone who does that to commit crimes, such as in stealing personal information, like social security numbers, and the like, should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. With that said however, in doing my own research on 'WikiLeaks' (because of some of the damning information that has been exposed about some of the corruption within our own government) I now know that is definately not what they are about. (In fact, just the opposite seems to be true). This is a fascinating documentary. Check it out...
