Yea, the Travis Walton story is kinda' hard to refute, if you ask me. Just sayin' man.
I mean, it's something that really did happen, and pretty credible. (I saw the movie, which was based on the real life story - that was actually in the local news and all).
I mean, while Walton was missing, his friends all took lie detector tests and passed!
I don't get it myself, but it definitely seemed like something happened. Personally, I think maybe the paranormal, extraterrestrial events, and the supernatural, are all kinda' related in some way, because there also seems to be certain religious or spiritual events that are kind of equally unexplainable. The little known Lady of Garabandal story for instance, is kind of another mystery. Saw the movie of the actual apparitions when I was a kid back in Lindenhurst, Long Island, and still cannot entirely figure it out till this day. And I'm pretty smart, and a sensible person by nature, but it would seem to me, especially at the time it was made, that it would be pretty hard to fake. And there are other similar stories, but that's a big one, because they actually got it on film!
Oh well, life is a freakin' mystery to begin with man. I can't explain how this world exists to begin with, can you? I mean, I'm no fanatical, conservative "creationist," but that this world evolved to what it is now from some big bang nuclear explosion billions of years ago, doesn't seem to hold water for me either. I think it kinda' takes even more faith to believe that, in a way. Just sayin'...
Case in point...
Granted, this is like strict, fundamentalist Catholicism at its core. Because, what I find somewhat curious, (for lack of a better word) is that in the apparitions, when the alleged "lady" supposedly talks to the girls about people having to "make many sacrifices and do much penance, and amend their lives" for instance, it seems she does not mention the fact, that this should apply first to those who hold positions of power (especially those who may also be extremely corrupt) and who already are very rich in this worlds goods, but who selfishly enact laws for their own benefit, even to to the detriment of others for example; and according to the teachings of Jesus himself, are therefore held to a stricter account and judgement. (Sorta like the saying: "Ya' can't fool God right?")
I mean, as we all know, there is already way too much suffering in this world. Especially among the poor. Although, she does seem to mention that people "must first lead good lives." And also, the thing about "a great chastisement" in my opinion would sort of like appeal to crazy, fanatical individuals, who love violence and death, and want to see it all go up in flames anyway, to sorta' like either cover their tracks, or are just lunatics!
So, there are allot of questions regarding this story, in more ways then one to begin with. Not to even mention, some of the people around some of her prophesies have already died. And if you know the Bible, you know there is something in there about not listening to someone who speaks a prophesy in God's name that does not come to pass. So, could the unexplained phenomenon in the vision be sorta' like paranormal, or even demonic in a way? (With some hints of truth in it?) Not sure at this time...
One thing however, that I found VERY interesting, was that the lady in the apparitions seemed to mention something about the pedophile priest scandal within the Catholic Church. Almost like a prophecy (or prediction) that shocked allot of people at the time, which we now know has been exposed in the news within the last decade or so. (Especially within the last few years). Her words were something to the effect that: "Many priests, bishops, and cardinals are on the road to perdition, and taking many souls with them." Wow! Interesting. I have to say, I remembered this myself, (from when I first saw the film back in Lindenhurst as a kid) when the whole pedophile priest scandal was first exposed some years ago already. Then I sorta' like did a google search investigation and came across this video, and some other videos like it.
One other VERY interesting thing that caught my attention, was that the lady supposedly also at one point during their conversation, talked to the girls about the fact that there IS life on other planets! And even explained to them the constellation where those planets exist! (But the girls said that they didn't remember what constellation she was referring to). That may be somewhat of a clue right there, if you know what I mean?
I have to say, regardless of what you think of this story, it at least gives allot of food for thought, one way or the other. I really don't get it myself though. Strange. But just thought it was at least worth mentioning here (in part, due to the topic of this particular blog post), for whatever its worth...

Great video. There's an interesting comment from George Harrison though that really caught me by surprise, abut halfway through, in relation to the making of one of The Beatles' early movies, where he says something to the effect, of hiring a couple of their usual ghost writers for the soundtrack!
In relation to this, it sorta' brings back a memory I myself will never forget, of a time when I went to music school, where I was a student of a professional studio musician and career jazz guitar player and teacher by the name of Joe (whose last name I will not mention here) who during a Guitar Master Class instruction (with maybe about 20 other students attending) told us (as we were learning chord embellishments on a Beatles tune) that it was his professional opinion that The Beatles had to have had ghost writers (at least by later in their career in relation to at least some of their songs) because of the fact (by their own admission) that they knew virtually nothing about music harmony and music theory, and really couldn't even read a lick of music (except for maybe chord charts) for instance, and therefore could not have possibly written so many (well constructed) hit songs that have even become pop standards over time (especially at such a young age) without some kind of help, was his opinion anyway.
(And I guess it was something to think about really, as it made some sense at least).
I will never forget how this statement created such a raucous from some of the other students attending the class. But could this possibly be what Harrison is referring to here? With my guitar instructor being proved right all along? Not absolutely sure at this time, but what I definitely believe (and only McCartney or Ringo as the current sole living Beatles could verify, with Paul publicly stating himself in different ways) that they did at least have a great deal of help from their producer George Martin, who was himself a very accomplished musician, and who did know allot about music harmony and theory (and who brought many of their ideas to life in more ways then one), not to mention the fact that The Beatles were very brilliant self-taught musicians and (prolific) songwriters in their own rite, and had learned allot of songs that they figured out themselves by ear no less, especially in the early days before they became famous, therefore did know allot of chord progressions and how popular music at the time was constructed (and were probably still studying and learning songs by other artists over time in their own way), as they were fast learners and innovative, creative writers, bordering on genius to begin with, and just took it from there, one way or the other.
(And even seemed to have developed their own formula and style from that).
One also has to remember, that The Beatles had become like an institution, almost like a business, and now like a legend, even to the present day...
That was the genius of The Beatles in a nutshell...

Surprising reporting on MSNBC. Just one more blog post (before I put this topic to rest) in this series on progressive, economic, philosophical, political, cultural and sociological related issues, that I think is very interesting, and very relevant to the times we are currently living, in more ways then one...
Interesting follow-up to the previous blog post - I mean, talk about the ultimate distortion, aberration, and corruption of Christianity (or Judeo Christianity), this is it!
(Oh, yea). With the essential tenants of its teachings taught by Hitler and promoted by the Nazi Party, from what I understand. In fact, I remember first hearing this story some years ago on 'The Rachel Maddow Show' back in Maryland, and then buying the book. And this is also a big reason why so many people are understandably turned off to Religion. However, this is more like an evil cult for the Elite of the Religious Right.
Sad man. Ya know, it's funny, not particularly very religious myself (except as a very young adult) I do remember a quote (like a scathing rebuke) from the Hebrew Bible (or Old Testament) that goes something like this: "Because of you, I am despised among the nations." Interesting. When we don't learn from history, it just repeats itself. Sad...

This seems to be a very credible and seemingly very well researched and well done video in relation to some of what is considered to be among the most famous haunted houses in the world...
I also found the narrators reporting and commentary on the well known Amityville Horror House to be surprisingly interesting as well, for several reasons, including the fact that many people believe the Lutz family's story and book about their encounter there to be a hoax.
For whatever it's worth, I have to say, having lived on Long Island myself, only about maybe 10 miles away, in Lindenhurst much of my life, I will never forget an experience riding home in a friend's car from a painting job, either on or close by Ocean Avenue in Amityville one day, around the mid to late 90's decade. We had a couple of beers before leaving the work location and driving home, and were sorta' like joking around as we were driving past the house, when I kiddingly yelled out the window: "Get Out!"
(Which of course, was a well known scene in the movie about the place).
And ya know, I actually felt a presence there man, and got the distinct feeling that it heard me! I kid you not. The best I could describe it, was that it was some kind of entity that had a personality (sort of) but what REALLY surprised me, was that I immediately got the inner impression and psychic feeling that it was actually afraid of me! Believe it or not. (During my last few years living on Long Island, I did start to occasionally wear a blest Archangel Michael medal though, so I am not sure if that may have been the reason why, but don't remember if I was even wearing it on this particular day).
Being a sensible person by nature myself, I am not saying the house definitely is or is not haunted, (I mean, there were people living in the house during this period, although much more then that I do not know at this time), and that this feeling was maybe nothing more then just my imagination, but never-the-less, it WAS a real feeling man. So real, that I had pondered it from time to time over the years, especially for certain reasons I am not going to go into detail here, like when I happened to find myself in the same area in Maryland where the Feds had traced the source of the Anthrax Attacks during the events of 9/11 back in 2001 for instance! Which I thought was incredibly strange and bizarre, to say the least. But, enough said at this time...

Yea, I totally agree with this commentary. Lieberman is like the poster child for everything that is wrong with the (Establishment) Democratic Party...

Yea, I think Alex Jones has a drinking problem. Big time! He's got all the characteristics, and warning signs. Wow. And if he's not careful, he's gonna' be headed for another defamation lawsuit. Shame, because irrational rants like this (that have absolutely no basis in fact) sorta' like discredits some of the other controversial issues he has reported on that does have merit, and just makes him look like one more delusional, unstable, self-aggrandizing, right wing nut job!
He's become his own worst enemy, and shoots himself in the foot EVERY TIME!
And ruins his own cause. (If he really has one, that is).
I personally, sincerely wish he wouldn't go down this path, because as I said, (despite some of the loony things he has come out with over the years) some of the other things he has unmasked, disclosed, and brought to light (especially towards the beginning of his career) ARE (in my strong opinion anyway) very compelling, and very important.
And should be credibly investigated. But I've seen this time and time again with these guys, and it just makes the U.S. look even more like one helluva strange country, unfortunately...

On a much lighter note. I don't care what you say about him man, but ya' just gotta admit, that Bill Maher is a pissa! (Which is a term we used to use back on Long Island). Meaning, really funny, and (in my opinion anyway) a brilliant comedian, who takes sarcasm and comedy to a whole new level, especially if you like to have a good laugh every once in awhile. (As irreverent as he sometimes is). It's good for the soul man...

And she is going to be coming up against (in part at least) some pretty corrupt people, and a pretty corrupt (and severely broken) system. (If she does get elected as a representative for her district). And for those reasons, I am kinda' concerned for her myself, as she definitely seems like a very decent, honest (and sincere) person...
She's going to need allot of prayer man, as the values she stands for are (ironically) really Christian values, and the people that will probably be coming against her - will undoubtedly be very evil. (And will do just about anything to hold on to power and not be exposed for what they really are). But I think, as long as she sticks to her convictions, (and takes advantage of all the tools she will now have available to her in her newfound position - to fight back), she should be alright, especially since she most likely will have many people within the (Progressive) latino community on her side, backing her up, and fighting for her as well. This definitely should be interesting man,
to say the least. Especially, since these guys know that I am mostly for the Progressive platform agenda myself. I mean, it definitely makes the most sense right? Oh yea...

Whoa! Just inadvertently came across this incredible video of an extremely talented young Illusionist? Looks like the real thing to me. Really makes ya' think man, and adds new meaning to that well known verse from Shakespeare's Hamlet: that "there are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy"!
But anyway, her name is 'Sacred Riana' - as indicated in the post on the 'Top Talent' YouTube Channel, and she is pretty amazing; and even quite scary, when you think about what she may really be tapping into. If you know what I mean? The video itself, seems to have gone viral, with over 37 million views! (At the time of this post). And I can see why. I guess, this is in keeping with the mysterious nature of the last several posts or so, and may even lend some kind of credibility to those posts, as we can actually sorta' like see a type of unexplained phenomena happen right before our very eyes...
Hmm. I've heard this before, about technology all of sudden increasing exponentially, and the reasons why, as indicated here. Not saying, that it definitely comes from reverse engineering of alien technology and all, but it is at the very least, quite interesting, and provides allot of food for thought...

Look, I have to be honest regarding some of the statements made by Trump
-whether or not he is just playing to that part of his fringe base, and notwithstanding the ridiculousness of the so called 'Border Wall' and all - that too many of the people that are coming here illegally ARE (unfortunately) bad people. I know this for a fact myself. (For reasons that I am just not going to get into here). MS-13 is just one example - as to the fact that there must obviously be a problem - for these amimals to be thriving here in this country to begin with. Right? Duh!
However, with that said, I do believe in the Asylum rule myself - which is in relation to decent, law abiding individuals, who may be fleeing their country, ironically, for possibly those very same reasons! And despite Trump's executive order (which I do applaud him for), it DOES seem like his administration has still sorta' like taken the whole matter to another level, with the recent ruling by his attorney general Jeff Sessions for instance - that 'victims of domestic, gang violence generally wont qualify for asylum'! As reported for example in The Washington Post.
Never-the-less, I do also agree with what Jimmy Dore and Abby Martin are also saying in this video regarding the hypocrisy - that brought us to this point in the first place.
But, I also agree with those on the other side of the fence (whether sincere in what they say or not - to possibly get conservative votes for example) that we got a problem that has gotten WAY out of control for WAY too long. I agree, because I have my own mind. (And am my own person). Both sides are right, regardless of their possible motives.
The truth is the truth, whether you acknowledge it as the truth or not.
But I also DEFINITELY agree with those who say that innocent children should not be used as bargaining chips either - as unfortunately is all too often the case - where they become the innocent victims of a mess that was created by adults in power, who should know better, and who may not have done the right thing to begin with...
Just FREAKIN' prosecute the bad guys, and send them back to where they came from, or put them in prison, and help those who really need it, and everything should be fine right? Not with our county it seems. Because we have WAY too much corruption ourselves. (And that, ironically, is what very well may make it even that much more attractive to the bad guys to begin with). Damn, what a country. Enough said.
Except for one more thing. Remember what I said, (I think it was on my Google+ profile), about "the pot calling the kettle black"? That is EXACTLY what we are seeing going on right now. And in more ways then one. (Just as I had predicted). As has been the case for quite some time now. (And even as we had seen and heard in the 2016 presidential debates for example). There is a reason for that. And a big indication that the system itself (including the two party political system, as it primarily stands right now) is broken. And (as in the brilliant words of Abraham Lincoln himself), "a nation divided against itself cannot stand." Sad. Not to even mention the mass shootings we now have in this country on a regular basis. I mean, anybody with half a brain has got to realize that something is seriously wrong. Don't want to beat a dead horse, so I am not even going to get into all that here. But we are at a point now, where we are at the true measure of a nation, and a people. Take it for what its worth. Too deep...
And as we now begin to enter another July 4th/Independence Day holiday season, (with my own birthday falling under the astrological sign of Cancer as well), this song seems to come to mind - with its somewhat hopeful and comforting message...

Yea, this is a far cry from prosecuting and/or deporting MS-13 gang members who are here illegally for instance. I think this YouTube viewer probably said it best unfortunately: "Honestly it's just the US and other Third World Countries. The rest of the Western World is fine mostly." -Jason Lilo
There seems to be no end to their folly man. I forsaw many of these things coming (and more) a long time ago, (that I mention on my own website for instance), and for reasons that I am not even going to get into here. Just keeps getting better and better. (Sarcastically speaking). Shame. (Sad). Enough said...

Wanted to post something in memory of Bobby Kennedy - regarding the 50 year anniversary of his death - which I believe was June 6th...
Great man, (and great politician), and probably the best Attorney General in the history of the United States - during the Presidency of his brother John. And, another VERY sad moment in time...

The belief in the rapture thing wouldn't concern me so much, (and be so potentially dangerous) if these guys belief in the primary role of the government was allot different, and more like what Jesus really preached - of helping the poor and less fortunate.
I think that's what really scares allot of people, including myself. Talk about irony.
This is potentially an Oxymoron to the 10th power, when you really think about it...
For instance, I really dig this comment from YouTube: "You don't need to be crazy to work in government but it helps!" (James Webster). And this one: "Trump loves people that are out of their mind, so Pompeo is perfect for the White House. Fits right in."
(hsosa7Sable). Funny stuff...
And of course, this guy is going to get confirmed. Figure that one out. They're trying to impeach Trump, but they just confirmed his crazy pick for Secretary of State! Hmm?
Not even gonna' go there man. I've had it...
Just for some food for thought though, if I'm not mistaken, I do believe there is a passage in the Book of Revelation, ironically, (and of all places) that goes something like this: "Woe to those who try to hasten the day of his coming"! And I don't believe that means bringing about the supposed 2nd coming of Jesus in a good sense either.
And speaking about irony and all, I DEFINITELY agree with Cenk, (and have even thought about that very thing myself), that allot of the crazy interpretation of the Bible of many of these guys does ironically sound like Fundamentalist Islam. Hmm, once again.
(Talk about insanity). Case in point...

Wow. Trump's response in relation to the Florida School Shooting was basically: "Answer hate with love" and "answer cruelty with kindness"?!
Extremely insensitive and out of touch comment to the parents who lost their children (in my opinion) - who most, I am sure wanted him to say something more like:
"There is no reason or need for anyone to have an AR-15 sub machine gun in this country. Period! And I will be working tirelessly with Congress to ban these assault weapons from our nation. I and your government have let you down and failed you, and I beg your forgiveness for this outrageous crime that should have never happened, but did happen because of our inaction, selfishness, and greed." Pathetic.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, people have to wise-up and start voting these clowns out of office man, or nothing is ever really going to change, and this sh*t is just going to continue. (And very possibly, even get worse). Unbelievable...
